Guatemala Huehuetenango – Unroasted Coffee Beans

Washed Arabica green coffee with notes of dark chocolate, cherry, and citrus.

This Guatemala Huehuetenango selection is a premium washed Arabica coffee sourced from Union Cantinil, located in the heart of Guatemala’s famous Huehuetenango highlands. Produced by a network of more than 76 smallholder farmers, this coffee is grown at elevations between 4,900 and 5,900 feet.

The result is a dependable green coffee offering balanced acidity, full body, and excellent structure for home roasting.

Roasting Suggestions

Exceptionally versatile, this Guatemalan coffee performs well across nearly all roast levels.

  • Light to Medium Roasts: Highlight notes of tart apple, cherry, and citrus
  • Darker Roasts: Bring out rich dark chocolate and deeper sweetness

Its resilience and consistency make it ideal for both single origin roasting and blending.

Origin

Huehuetenango is one of Guatemala’s most celebrated coffee growing regions, located near the Mexican border. Its combination of high elevation, volcanic soil, and varied microclimates creates outstanding conditions for Arabica cultivation.

Slow cherry maturation produces dense beans that retain heat well during roasting, enabling even development and predictable results.

Farms

This lot consolidates coffee from over 76 smallholder producers in Union Cantinil. Farmers cultivate traditional Arabica varieties including:

  • Bourbon
  • Catuai
  • Caturra
  • Pache

Our careful lot selection ensures consistency while supporting the local agricultural economy.

Production & Processing

  • Process: Washed
  • Fermentation: 12–18 hours
  • Drying: Sundried on patios

This traditional washed method produces a clean, bright cup with exceptional clarity—qualities that home roasters appreciate when refining flavor profiles.

Ingredients: 100% Arabica coffee beans. OU Kosher certified. Packaged in an SQF-certified, renewable energy-powered facility.

Do not grind, brew, or consume unroasted coffee. Green coffee beans that have been purchased and used/roasted are not returnable. Due to agricultural regulations, we are unable to ship green coffee beans to Hawaii or Puerto Rico.
